According to FedEx's environmental commitment, this technology park will manufacture clean energy through low-cost solar and hydro energy. Riverview Solar Technology Park showcases corporate environmental responsibility through investment in renewable energy and green building practices. The Riverview Solar Technology Park is strategically located, only 10 miles from the Canadian border and Ontario, with highways and railways within reach. The solar energy technology park is also recognized as a certification point to be built in New York State, and is limited to unnecessary tree removal for construction purposes, hence it is called a "low impact green commercial park". 

Meanwhile, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn announced the construction of a FedEx land delivery center in Shaogett, Illinois. This center covers an area of 16815 square meters and is expected to be unveiled at the Shaogat Industrial Broadway in August 2014. After fully operational, the center will process 10000 packages per hour. The Land Delivery Center is part of FedEx Land's national network expansion plan. Since 2005, the company has built a total of 11 large centers and expanded or renovated 500 facilities in the United States. After the center is completed, it will provide 25 full-time and 150 part-time positions.
