One of the leading express transportation companies, FedEx, announced today that it will comprehensively enhance Qingdao's international express services, expand its "one day delivery" service area, and help more customers deliver their physical goods to the target market more quickly and reliably.

Starting today, FedEx will launch the "One Day Delivery" international express delivery service to customers in the Laoshan and Licang areas of Qingdao. This service will enable customers from both regions to leverage FedEx's global network to send their shipments to destinations in Asia, Europe, and the United States, thereby helping more export-oriented products from Qingdao to enter the international market faster and win business opportunities.

In June of this year, FedEx comprehensively improved its domestic express delivery services, including speeding up transportation time between cities. At the same time, it launched logistics solutions for multiple industries, covering industries such as healthcare, high-value goods, and fashion, to better meet the needs of customers across the country, including Qingdao, for customized logistics services.

Chen Xinxiao, Regional Vice President of FedEx China, said, "Qingdao is one of FedEx's early service providers and key development cities in North China. The company has been actively expanding its local international and domestic express delivery business, improving its services to meet the needs of the local market. This is another move by FedEx to enhance its operational capabilities and optimize its transportation network to meet the needs of customers in second tier cities."

The current operation station of FedEx in Qingdao is located on Kaifeng Road in Shibei District, covering an area of about 1600 square meters. It has 112 employees and is equipped with 80 delivery vehicles, responsible for providing international and domestic express pick-up and delivery services to customers in the entire Qingdao area. The operation station is equipped with an office area and a cargo storage and sorting area, with an hourly sorting capacity of over 1610 packages.

Qingdao, as an important economic center city in the northern region of China, has shown a good development trend. According to statistics from the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce in the first quarter, the total international trade volume of Qingdao city reached 21.6 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%. Meanwhile, the express delivery business in Qingdao is also developing rapidly. In 2015, the express delivery business volume in Qingdao exceeded 160.67 million, with a year-on-year growth of 53%. This indicates that Qingdao's economic strength and trade exhibitions will be conducive to further promoting the development of the local express logistics industry. At the same time, efficient and reliable logistics support can also comprehensively promote Qingdao's development and enhance urban competitiveness.
