The DHL supply chain has become an important component of Jaguar Land Rover's supply chain and UK manufacturing business, and the contract is being renewed with new ambitions and expansion briefs to manage the company's new production base in Slovakia's inbound supply chain.
In the next stage of cooperation, DHL will support Jaguar Land Rover as the company adjusts its operations to achieve the manufacturing of next-generation customized cars and adopt electrification.
Through close collaboration, DHL and Jaguar Land Rover will implement transformational operational improvements and accelerate digital initiatives to support long-term growth and significantly save costs over the next five years.
DHL Supply Chain CEO Oscar de Bok added, "We are pleased to expand our partnership with Jaguar Land Rover and accelerate the digitalization process to transform the supply chain. In the coming years, we look forward to helping Jaguar Land Rover provide excellent customer experiences in an increasingly complex and competitive market."
As customization becomes a key differentiation factor for Jaguar Land Rover, the supply chain and sorting process have become increasingly complex. We are investing in digitization and data analysis to achieve intelligent planning and management decisions.
Ian Harnett, Executive Director of Human Resources and Global Purchasing at Jaguar Land Rover, said, "We are transforming our UK factory through supply chain solutions, and DHL is an important partner in this process. In the past decade, they have proven that they can support our business development."
Mike Bristow, Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain UK and Ireland Manufacturing Logistics, added, "Over the past decade, our close partnership with Jaguar Land Rover has enabled us to seek new ways of working to drive significant changes in performance. As part of this contract extension, we now have a comprehensive transformation and investment plan in place to ensure that Jaguar Land Rover's supply chain is suitable for the future."
